SolveMotion privacy policy

This policy describes SolveMotion 6.0 for Android, package com.solvemotionlabs.solvemotion, provided by Solve Motion Labs. Contact: ray3639@comcast.net.

Movement videos and camera use

Camera access is used when you choose camera features. You may also select a supported video on your device. Movement video frames are analyzed on your device; the reviewed movement workflow does not upload your video or frame images to a SolveMotion analysis server. Imported originals remain in their original location.

App-created recordings and temporary analysis files can remain in the app's cache, including after interrupted cleanup. Use Settings → Safety + Privacy to inspect and clear app-created recording cache. Closing a preview clears its unsaved measurements. Deleting a saved measurement record does not delete the imported original.

Saved records and preferences

The app stores the profile and preferences you enter, training and recovery entries, educational progress, saved movement records, baselines, and related report history locally. A measured Video Movement Check-In contains derived image measurements and source context, including a source filename, rather than the original video or frame images. Other camera-session records may contain analysis summaries and associated thumbnails.

Saved measured Check-Ins remain until deleted or cleared. Live-camera history uses its configured retention limit. Separately saved baselines, exported reports, and other tool records have their own storage and controls. Device and operating-system backup settings may also affect local app data.

Location and weather

When you open weather or outdoor-training weather features, the app requests location permission and uses the device location to request weather and air quality from Open-Meteo. Latitude and longitude are sent to api.open-meteo.com and air-quality-api.open-meteo.com over HTTPS. These providers also receive ordinary connection information. Open-Meteo states that its API logs may include IP addresses and geographical coordinates and are deleted after 90 days. This transmission is not treated as memory-only processing. You can deny or revoke location permission in device settings; location-based weather will then be unavailable.

See Open-Meteo's terms and privacy information. This draft does not promise a third party's retention period or treat transmission as absent merely because it is brief.

Google ML Kit

Android pose analysis uses Google ML Kit. Google's disclosure describes collection of installation identifiers, device/app details, performance and diagnostic events, and related SDK information. Pose detection also uses Firebase services for configuration diagnostics. These network activities are separate from local processing of your movement images. See ML Kit's data disclosure, Firebase's data disclosure, and Google's privacy policy.

Reference content, links, and speech

Public health and other reference features can request content from network services. A service you contact receives ordinary connection information. Opening an external reference, social link, or support email takes you to another provider or application and its own privacy practices. Text-to-speech uses your device's configured speech service; that service's settings and privacy practices apply.

Exports and sharing

PDF and CSV export, opening a report, and sharing are explicit user actions. A selected receiving app or recipient can obtain the report contents. Review the report and destination before sharing. Deleting history inside SolveMotion does not remove copies that you exported or sent elsewhere.

Accounts, advertising, and connected health

This version does not require a SolveMotion account and does not display in-app advertising. It does not currently read Android Health Connect records or request connected-health permission. The release is offered free of charge. This version does not request payment information through an in-app purchase or subscription system.

Your controls and retention

You can revoke camera and location permissions in device settings, delete saved camera records through their history controls, and manage recording cache in Safety + Privacy. Manage other saved entries through their original tools. Android's app-storage controls can remove local app data, but doing so may permanently remove records; export anything you wish to keep first. Separately exported files and device backups require their own controls. Third-party data is governed by the relevant provider's policies and deletion mechanisms. Contact us for privacy questions; do not email personal movement videos unless you intend to share them.

Audience and updates

SolveMotion is intended for teens ages 13–17 and adults, and is not directed to children under 13. Record another person only with permission and involve a responsible adult when recording a minor. SolveMotion supports education and record review; it does not provide diagnosis, treatment, medical clearance, or return-to-play decisions. We will update this policy when the app's handling changes.
